Thanks for visiting AusBonsai

Welcome to AusBonsai - Australia's online community dedicated to the art of bonsai in Australia and bonsai with Australian native plants.

Please take a moment to read the following information;

AusBonsai is a free, Australian based internet forum where you can view, study and chat about bonsai from the comfort of your own computer. A friendly environment where you can learn or share information about bonsai in Australia and bonsai with Australian native plants.

You are currently viewing AusBonsai as a guest, therefore will not be able to view pictures or experience some features. This is to encourage visitors to join and participate in the online Australian Bonsai Community. Like regular bonsai clubs, the success of AusBonsai depends on the participation of members. Registration for membership is open to all bonsai enthusiasts, is free, simple and secure.

"Why is AusBonsai free?" you may ask [and many have]. We believe that the free sharing of knowledge and ideas will help grow the art of bonsai in Australia. All we ask is that you contribute your ideas and knowledge about bonsai.

"Is it hard to register? I'm not good with computers" Becoming a member is simple. Click here to view a tutorial on the process of joining. All you need is a current email address so we know you are a real person and not a robot.

"Is it secure? I don't want my email address leaked or my bonsai stolen!" You can remain anonymous if you wish by the 'username' you choose to be known by when you register. Your only personal detail that is required to join is your email address which is never made public and will never be shared or sold to anyone - I promise! I hate spam as much as you do!

"What's the catch?" I assure you there is no catch or ulterior motives. My name is Steven and I'm the 'person behind the site'. I live in Sydney and I have been practicing bonsai on and off for over 20 years. I'm passionate about bonsai and bonsai with Australian native plants. I was busy with my business and family and not able to get along to any club meetings. I was also getting frustrated trying to find information about bonsai with Aussie natives so I decided to do something about it. I started AusBonsai to help collect and collate information so everyone can benefit, not just me.

You are most welcome to continue to visit as a guest and read the articles however I'd really like to encourage you to join in.

I look forwards to meeting you in the forums!

Regards
Steven

P.S. As an added bonus for joining, the above information goes away and this banner gets much smaller!
